ABOUT ME

My name is Gabriel, and I'm 27 years old. I was born and raised in Spain, but my journey took an exciting turn when I pursued my Masters Degree in Digital Effects in the UK. It was there that I delved deep into the world of visual creativity and honed my skills.

My passion lies in creating Visual Effects (VFX), which I've dedicated myself to professionally. As an FX Artist, I specialize in bringing dynamic visual elements to life. Additionally, I have a keen interest in composition using Nuke, a software I enjoy exploring and mastering. Balancing creativity with technical skill is where I find my stride, continually pushing boundaries in the world of VFX.

I worked in the FX department for an animated series for Netflix (Bad Dinosaurs), where I created a variety of effects and HDAs using Houdini and integrated them into UE5. Also I worked on a tool to procedurally create random instances (grass and flowers) over the surface of a model to decorate the backgrounds of the shots.

I worked on four projects, each focusing on exploring one of the simulation branches with Houdini: Particles, Pyro, RBD, and Flips. All projects were developed entirely by me, except for the modeling aspect.
